1447/5000 Gramedia Asri Media is a subsidiary of Kompas Gramedia which provides a bookstore network with the name Gramedia Bookstore in several cities in Indonesia and Malaysia. The company was founded on February 2, 1970 with the beginning of a small book store measuring 25m² in the West Jakarta area and until 2002 it has grown to more than 50 stores spread throughout Indonesia. In addition to providing books, Gramedia Bookstore provides various other products such as stationery, office supplies, sports equipment, musical instruments, etc. This company works with book publishers both at home and abroad. From its own business group, suppliers to Gramedia Bookstores include Gramedia Main Library, Elex Media Komputindo, Gramedia Widya Sarana, Popular Science Bhuana, and Gramedia Majalah, while from abroad such as Prentice Hall, McGraw Hill, Addison Wesley, etc. On May 9, 2015 Gramedia launched a new concept and logo, this new concept carries the New Experience, namely the concept of the Gramedia bookstore which is divided into chambers or spaces based on various themes. This concept was first applied at the Gramedia Central Park Bookstore. As for the new logo, it is a logotype with the letter "G" and the writing of GRAMEDIA which has the meaning of creativity, flexibility, progress, change, and strength to give ideas and inspiration in the intellectual life of the Indonesian nation
